Ausstellung // Lighthouse in Glasgow, Waternetworks

Design: Fulguro + TJAW. Photographe: Fulguro

Exhibition in Glasgow and Manchester in 2006. Processes in nature are optimised for maximum energy management: An organism is not able to compete if it does not deal sparingly with the energy sources at its disposal. Following this example, the Designers have tried to develop optimised objects within their projects. Using water as a primary resource, the Designers have developed a water circulatory system, as found in an ecosystem. The water is divided into 3 categories: 1 Drinking water: this is delivered into the living space and subsequently used for drinking and cooking; 2 Fresh water: rain water is gathered from the balcony or from the roof and subsequently used for bathing, washing and operating cooking elements; 3 Grey water: once the bath and kitchen waste water is purified in a filter it can be used for watering plants and cleaning.
